'All About Me' Digital Scrapbooking Mini Kit Freebie Free

My Round 3 GDS Design Challenge kit is finished! Yay! This round’s mini-kit has 5 papers and 10 elements and a coordinating cluster. I loved the colours, but we were not allowed to use CU products so we were stretched! But it was fun… once again working outside of my comfort zone.

Holiday in the Sun Mini Kit - Add on Freebie {Digital Scrapbooking}

I decided to whip up a quick ADD ON freebie for my mini kit, “Holiday in the Sun”, which was created for Round 2 of the 2012 GDS Designer Contest.

It has 2 papers (including 2 variations of the sun burst paper) and 4 elements (including 2 variations of the starfish flair). So, in reality I guess you’re getting 3 papers and 5 elements:)

I love the stitched elements and think the grungy papers work really well with them.  An add-on freebie is coming soon so check back!

My Dad Laughing
Credits: {In the Stacks} kit by Sanko Studio ~ Fonts: Adler and MTF Sweetie

Here is my first layout for the most wonderful Sanko Studio. I love her style and the {In the Stacks} kit was so easy to use. I decided to do a simple layout as the memory is so strong it doesn’t need much to bring it all back.

This is a photo of my dad laughing! We were on a boat going down the Ganges River in Varanasi, India. It was incredible! We drove into town early in the morning, just before sunrise, and got some amazing photos. We then took a boat ride down the river to the area that has the funeral pyres. You see it on National Geographic and in magazines, but when you go there and see it for yourself it is very different. It almost doesn’t live up to your expectations… and then you take a look at the photos you took and you are amazed.

I love India and try to visit every year. If you’ve never been, you must put it on your list of things to do!

I’m on a CT! Woot! Introducing… Sanko Studio!

I think the title says it all! I applied to Sanko Studio for a spot on her CT team and….. <drumroll>……. was accepted! So excited!

If you haven’t checked out Sanko Studio before, you should as her designs are fantastic and so easy to use! The first kit I’ll be working with is called, “In the Stacks” and is perfect for anyone who loves books! I’m a doodle addict and this kit has loads of them – very unique. Here’s a preview. (can you tell I’m excited:)

You can grab this kit from Sanko Studio’s store at Scrapable HERE. During the month of November 2012, you can download a free add on by visiting the Sanko Studio Facebook Page. Super fun!

I’ll post my layout using this kit soon. I’m not sure I’ll be doing a book themed page, but I love the colours and so will try to do something with the colours. It looks fantastic and I can’t wait to get started!

GSD Designer Contest - Round 2

I can’t believe we’re onto Round 2 of the 2012 GDS Designer Contest already! Last week saw me creating a mini-kit and an alphabet using a lovely muted colour palette and a theme of my own choice. If you missed the result, check out my post HERE to grab the mini-kit and alphabet.

 

ROUND 2

For Round 2 we have to create a mini-kit using a colour palette of 6 colours taken from the photo below. The theme is something on our own “Bucket List”. I had never even heard of the term ‘Bucket List’ before this competition, so it took me a while to figure it out! Anyway, our palette photo is below. Lot’s of colour choice!

Just Paper - Pack 1 Digital Scrapbook Freebie

I just love this pattern and decided to whip up a few {digital} scrapbooking papers using it for a page I am working on! I love the way they turned out and so then figured I should offer them up as a freebie, complete with 3 plain papers, slightly distressed, to complement them.

They are the usual high quality 300dpi, 12×12, jpeg files.

My Layouts This Week

I need more time! It feels like each week I have less and less time to devote to my scrapbooking! I adore it and know that I must keep it up, but some days I just want to sleep when I get home (usually after 10pm and I leave the house before 8am). Here are my layouts from this week.
