Excruciating!

My bf got his driving license last year (not uncommon to get your driving license in your late 20s/30s in Hong Kong), but only bought a car a few weeks ago. He is now driving a lot more, and expecting me to drive with him! Oh for the love of money is it excruciating! He thinks he’s a wonderful driver and I think he’s risking lives by being on the rode! You can image how stress-free driving with him can be!

Last week he asked why I hadn’t done any layouts of his new car (obviously I have my priorities in all the wrong places!) =) So, I said I would and thus was born the “Driving with Chi is… excruciating!” – not exactly the layout he had been hoping for *lol*.

The photo was taken on the way to Disneyland over one of the bridges we have in Hong Kong. I’m in the backseat and a friend is in the front seat. I’m so lucky to live 20 minutes away from Disneyland as I’m taking a few photography classes and it’s the perfect place for getting all different kinds of photos! I’ll try to post some soon.

And here is the layout!

Tiger Layouts

I truly love white tigers and loved having the opportunity to photograph them in Singapore last month. I will have to post some more of my photos, but here are two layouts I made. I love the first one, but don’t like the second one as much.

Funky Doodle Papers – {PU} {S4O} – Freebie

Indian/Paisley Inspired Funky Doodle Papers - {PU} {S4H} - Freebie

After creating my last funky doodle freebie, I decided to give creating papers a go! Now, I love my doodles, but am not really into making papers. After having one digi-scrapper suggest it in a post a while back, I thought…. why not?

So, here you go – a set of 12 papers using my funky doodle brushes. There are 6 patterned and 6 solid papers. They are 12×12 and are jpegs – all 300dpi, as usual.

To make them easier to download, I have split them into two downloads: 1 just for the solids and another for the patterned papers.

Funky Doodles

I think you’ve probably noticed by now that I love doodles! Here is another set that I whipped up for a layout I’m doing. After making them I decided not to use them! Typical! They are CU and S4O OK. There are 16 funky doodles that come as .png files along with a .abr brush file for all you Photoshop/Photoshop Elements users.

Anyway, not much else to say except…. enjoy! If you have a minute, it would be lovely to leave a comment – trust me, they are pure motivation =) Thanks!

Doodled Numbers and Lists {CU} {S4O} – Freeebie

I am in a fantastic class over at Big Picture Scrapbooking called Everyday Adventures with Tami M. Loving it!

I’ve decided to do this class digitally and my first assignment was to make a list of 10 things “Right Where You Are”… and I was “At My Desk” – thus was born a layout about my desk. Now, I wanted a funky way to do the list, do I doodled some numbers to make my list. You know where this is going, right?

I have a freebie! It’s a set of doodled numbers AND a set of lists. They all come as .png files and .abr brush files for Photoshop/Photoshop Elements users. The lists come as numbers only, numbers and short lines and numbers and long lines. To spice things up, there’s a regular set of lists AND a grunge set of lists. Ok, so you get the idea! Hope you’re still with me *lol*.

Everything is the usual 300dpi, large brush files etc. and I’ve decided to make it CU friendly! I’ve been playing around and think I may just have to make a freebie of the numbers with funky patterned paper filling them! We’ll see.

Anyway, I’d love a comment, but no worries if not. If you have any feedback, please let me know – I’m just getting my feet wet with designing now that I have more time and would love to know what works, what doesn’t, and if you have any suggestions!

EDITED: Just realized that I did this set at 300 pixels/cm – it should be 300 pixels/inch. I’ve resized them so what you’re getting is the normal 300 pixels/inch; however, if you would like the super high quality version (300 pixels/cm), you can grab them by CLICKING HERE! If you would like the regular quality ones (recommended), click the link above or click on the preview.

Flower Stickers Freebies {PU} {S4H} – Freebie

Flower Stickers: Click to download.

After creating the flower doodles I decided to make a few stickers with them. I love the pinky, purpley, bluey colours and decided to stick with the colours I love! There are 13 flowers +3 leaves in various greens. Not all are shown in the preview – but you get the idea! They all come as .png files that have been zipped to speed up downloading!

They are S4H/S4O OK and I would love to see anything you do with them! I’m new at designing and get such a kick out of seeing what you create using the things I design. If you make a layout, email it to me and I’ll post it here!

CLICK HERE to download them direct from my blog.

If you’re interested in more freebies, click the link at the top of the page!

Thanks and enjoy!

Psst…. Just to let you know – I had my settings accidentally set to 300 pixels/cm (should be 300 pixels/inch) so these stickers will be very large when you open them! They’re super high quality so this won’t be a problem for you using them, you’ll just have to make them smaller. I’ll correct them when I have time.

Flower Doodles and Brush Set Freebie – {CU}

Flower Doodles: Click image to download.

I’ve wanted a few flower doodles that had a thicker outline than usual, so decided to make my own. Included are 8 flowers, a leaf, and and apple (just cause I thought it was cute!). They come as .png files and I’ve also made them into brushes for those of you who have Photoshop or Photoshop Elements.

The best part – they are CU OK! Check out my terms of use (TOUs) by clicking on the link at the top of the page. I’ve included one example I made – it’s like stained glass: it’s semi-transparent. The doodles come as a zipped file that you’ll need to unzip once it’s downloaded onto your computer.

As always, I LOVE your inspiring, motivating, encouraging and downright wonderful comments – but no worries if you don’t have time! All that’s required is a name – you can ignore the email request =)

Enjoy!

Singapore

White Tiger in Singapore

I’ve just returned from a quick 4 day trip to Singapore with my mum to relax, relax and basically relax! We stayed at the Four Seasons, which was lovely and only a 2 minute walk from Orchard Road (always good!).

I’m presently take 2 photography classes and am so behind because I had initially planned on going to India to do my assignments – fabulous place to take photos! So when those plans fell through, I decided I would have to make my photography a priority in Singapore. I’ll post a few of my favourite photos when I get time, but couldn’t resist posting a photo of a white tiger I saw.

I should mention that it was POURING rain and I had to wear this huge green raincoat/poncho that was so difficult to work with. It was super humid and my lens kept fogging up even though my camera had acclimatized! I stood for ages trying to get some good shots. I couldn’t use a tripod and the camera was literally dripping wet. The photos didn’t come out brilliant – but MUCH better than I thought they would.

Unfortunately, because it was almost dark and because I didn’t have a tripod, I had to push the ISO up to 1600 and then pray my hand was steady enough for a 1/20 shutter speed (with VR).

I’m glad I got a few photos I like! Nothing wonderful, but good enough!

Enjoy!
